Phia had 4 birthday celebrations this year so we're pretty sure she felt her 5th birthday was a special milestone:) Her first celebration was actually in June with her classroom at school. Her second celebration was in her summer school classroom on her actual birthday where Nana delivered her flowers and we brought in ice-cream cones for the class. The teacher also made her a number 5 necklace. Third celebration was at our neighborhood pool the evening of her birthday. Nana baked cupcakes and we provided food for everyone. Yesterday was her "big" party and we celebrated this year at Scooter's Jungle and we hired a Rapunzel to come in and entertain the kids. Phia was in awe and the princess painted all the kids faces, played games with them, sang songs, made balloon animals, and sang Phia a special song during cake cutting and presented her with a crown "straight from Disneyland". We still cannot believe she's 5. As her school principal says, "she's an old soul" and she really is. She's 5 going on 25! She's the leader of her siblings and the light of our family. She still has an amazing memory(even better than mommy!!). She's become quite the little artist this summer and no longer "scribble scrabbles" as she calls it. Oh and Nana and Nonno got her an ipad mini for her birthday this year which she has not put down since she got it!
