Paddle boarding and kayaking in Hawaii

Toward the end of the week we ventured out!  My mama wanted to kayak and snorkel and luckily we didn't have to go far.  Right on the lawn next to Duke's they rented kayak's, snorkel gear, and gave paddle board lessons.  It was super convenient to not have to leave the resort.  Nana is super adventurous and loves the water(even though she's not an avid swimmer!).  The is a gorgeous reef right in front of Honua Kai so we were able to see tons of fish.  Nana had kayaked in St. Lucia already so she's a pro but it was my first time and I loved it.  The next day BT and I learned how to paddle board.  It's pretty tricky.  VERY happy there was no wind.  The little just from passing boats was enough to throw you off balance.  But we both had a blast!!          




 

I definitely have the bravest mama in the world! It was a beautiful morning to kayak to black rock. The ocean was like glass!

There was no wind toward the end of the week.  The lifeguard said it was the best day in 2 months! A perfect time to learn how to paddle board!

This thing is heavy!

It really is a LOT harder than it looks....takes a LOT of balance and control
