We always have a Halloween gathering at our house every year before we all head out for some trick-or-treating fun. We have the BEST neighborhood for trick-or treating...every single house has at least 2 kids and a lot have more! Our streets are a sea of toddlers all dressed up and giddy with excitement. This year we had a candy apple bar and a chili bar. Mama's chili was a hit with the adults and needless to say the candy apples were a hit with the kids. We used sliced apples and we put them on a stick...the big ole' apples overwhelm mommy and usually end up rolling around on the ground. Ally brought cornbread, Jen and Chad brought pigs in a blanket, and Kurt and Becky brought some yummy dips and drinks! Such a festive night fully of FOOD and candy:) This is probably our last year celebrating Halloween in this neighborhood so we made sure to enjoy every moment!! Oh our across the street neighbors had a huge haunted house in the front yard. Bentley was sooooooo scared poor kid was shaking from head to toe and immediately wanted to go home:( Poooooor baby. He didn't even get close to it and was so so scared. He woke up the next morning and exclaimed "IT'S NOT HALLOWEEN ANYMORE!!" He was overjoyed. Kept saying "Haunted House is all gone Mama". Bentley...poor baby...is traumatized. He talked about the Haunted House(that he never got near) for an entire day. NOT HAPPY:( I think we'll stick with our cheerful/happy Halloween decorations around our house(and Mama goes ALLLLL OUT in the decorating dept)!
