Easter Weekend!

Our Easter festivities kicked off on Friday when our good friend Kaiyin came for a visit from Santa Barbara with her kiddies. We all went to lunch and then hit the carnival at the mall! Sophia LOVED the train ride! Saturday morning Nana came over and Sophia colored eggs for the first time. Nana brought over an art smock and we moved Sophia's table into the kitchen and got started. Sophia was SUPER excited, she loves being creative so when she saw all the colored water she was grinning from ear to ear. In the middle of coloring eggs she turned to me and exclaimed "THANK YOU MOMMMMMY"!! Needless to say this was the highlight of her Saturday. We then hit the mall for a picture with the Easter Bunny. When we arrived Sophia yelled from across the room "Hi Easter Bunny", however when we got closer the tears came streaming down. Once the "picture" was over she said a very brave "Bye Easter Bunny" . So they ended as friends but we're pretty sure Sophia doesn't want to see him anytime soon. Sunday morning we all went to Church followed by brunch and an Easter egg hunt at our house. The "Easter Bunny" knocked on the front door and left HUGE Easter baskets for whole family!! Lastly we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Tees's house for dinner. We had a nice visit with all our family there and Sophia really loved seeing her G-ma and G-pa Tees!!

Carnival to kick off Easter weekend!


Coloring eggs was the highlight of Sophia's weekend(and maybe the Easter Bunny knocking on the front door)!




Sophia's Easter dress...it's the same dress she wore in October for our wedding anniversary but she only wore it once and it still fits so we turned it into her Easter dress:)

Let the Easter egg hunt begin! Sophia LOVED running around looking for all the eggs the bunny hid. They were filled with jelly beans, stickers, and bunny marshmallows!
